Smoked salmon spread is a quick, creamy, and flavorful appetizer. It's perfect as a dip, on crackers, or spread over bread. Ready in minutes, this spread can be put on any appetizer platter!
Let it soften at room temperature for easy mixing. If you’re in a hurry, microwave it for a few seconds until just soft.
Mix Base Ingredients:
In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, capers, onion, dill, cream, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and lemon juice. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
Incorporate the Salmon:
Gently fold in the smoked salmon, keeping the pieces as intact as possible to maintain texture.
Adjust Consistency:
If the spread is too thick, add a little more cream or lemon juice to thin it to your liking.
Serving:
Pair with crackers, toasted bread, bagel crisps, or cucumber slices for the perfect bite!
Notes
Forgot to Soften the Cream Cheese? No worries—just blend it in a food processor for a few seconds to make it smooth.
Don’t Overmix the Salmon: Keep those nice chunky bites for the best texture.
Too Thick? Add a little extra cream or lemon juice to loosen it up.
Don’t Blend Everything Together: Some recipes say to throw everything in a food processor, but I say no thanks. Keeping the ingredients slightly chunky makes it way more appetizing.
Got Leftovers? Store any uneaten spread in the fridge for 1-2 days. After that, the dill and onions start taking over, and the flavor balance goes a little sideways.
