Learn how to make a delicious and easy Greek salad dressing at home with simple ingredients. Perfect for topping your favorite salads or using as a marinade.
Mix all the ingredients in a jar or plastic container with a tight-fighting lid. Shake well until they blend together. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Alternatively, you can mix the ingredients in a bowl with a whisk, a food processor, or a blender.
Leftover dressing can be stored sealed in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Before using, let it warm up to room temperature and shake it well.
Notes
Crush dried oregano and basil with a mortar and pestle (or use your fingers)
To balance tangy dressings, add a touch of sugar or honey.
For a creamy Greek dressing, mix in some Greek yogurt and adjust the salt to taste.
Use raw garlic to infuse the dressing for added depth of flavor. Mince the garlic and let it soak in the vinegar and lemon juice for 10 minutes before mixing into the dressing. This will meld the potent taste.
You can make this ahead and let the flavors meld together. I recommend at least an hour before you are ready to serve.
