David and I are suckers for store-bought frozen French bread pizzas. There’s nothing fancy about them, but they inspired me to make homemade vegetable french bread pizzas for Meatless Monday.

Vegetable French bread pizzas are crisp on the bottom, soft and chewy in the center, and can be made with various toppings. Of course, it’s up to you what you put on your pizza. They are also quick and easy to make. Made to order by your family and friends in just minutes!

ingredients to make vegetable French Bread pizzas

Ingredients Needed For the Pizzas

  • Bread: (12–14-inch) loaf of French or Italian bread, sliced in half then in half lengthwise. The soft pillowy inside cradles the sauce and toppings beautifully.
  • Sauce: homemade or store-bought pizza sauce. I whip up pizza sauce rather quickly using this recipe!
  • Cheese: shredded mozzarella cheese and parmesan are a must. Use whatever you like.
  • Vegetable Toppings: we love black olives, sliced mushrooms, onions, peppers, and artichokes. Use your favorites!
  • sliced bread on cutting board with knife
  • pouring pizza sauce onto French bread
  • vegetables added to French bread
  • Vegetable French bread pizzas baking in oven

How To Make Vegetable French Bread Pizza

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Place french bread, cut side up, on a foil-lined baking sheet. Add sauce, cheese, and desired toppings.
  3. Place the pan in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese starts to bubble a bit and turn golden.
  4. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Even with the homemade pizza sauce, these french bread pizzas are easy to make and ready in less than 30 minutes. It’s a fun way to serve up Meatless Monday and you’ll never miss the meat!

It’s that easy!

You and I are having the exact same thoughts regarding the house cleaning! Dave just says to hire someone, while I feel kind of silly paying someone to do something I could do. BUT I like the way your friend thinks. We’re so strapped for time, it would be great to have a few hours back to do something fun! I say we do it! ☺️ Also I love those same frozen French bread pizzas, but these homemade ones look delicious, will be making these soon!

Annie!!!! Should we really?!?!? I’m not sure they would be up to my standards… they have to be able to clean that weird corner behind the bathroom doors!!!
I’m like Oprah, I LOVE BREAD!!!! Homemade are even better than the frozen ones!

I’m so glad you guys had such a lovely weekend because I can TOTALLY relate about the whole cleaning vs hire someone to clean thing.
I’m literally at that point myself and that’s a crying shame because I live in an APT and you live in a house lol.
Yummy food per usual my love <3

I’m glad I am not alone in this whole cleaning thing. I didn’t mention I only do the spare bedrooms once a month… so that cuts the square footage back quite a bit. Maybe I should hire on a trial basis….

This pizza looks very appetizing and easy to make! We all need those quick and easy meals sometimes, especially if there are other things going on, like cleaning! (ugh) I needed a reminder of a quick meal, so thanks for sharing, Debbie! 🙂
