10 YEARS.

Y’all, I can’t believe it. IT’S BEEN TEN YEARS!

10 years ago (Monday, February 18th, 2013, to be exact), I clicked on the “Publish” button for the very first time here at The Mountain Kitchen. David and I just started exploring Meatless Monday, and I had just made a delicious spinach feta pizza for dinner that I was excited to share with others.

A whole decade consisting of over 800 blog posts, 8 million pageviews, over 4000 comments, lots of dirty dishes, tons of charcoal, and a boatload of fun. Now here we are celebrating 10 years!

The Mountain Kitchen started out as a way to keep me from thinking about smoking cigarettes. Over the years, with David’s support and help, this special place has grown into something we never imagined. It’s more than just a blog. It’s a space where we share our love of food with other food lovers around the world. From day one, we immediately started making friends. Some of our best friends are people we have never even met. For this, we are truly grateful.

First blog post on February 18, 2013.

David and I love to cook and eat; if you’re here reading this, you probably do too. Your faithful readership, willingness to try our recipes, emails, and comments all mean so much to us. Thank you for allowing us into your homes and supporting us in what we love to do. We appreciate your encouragement and support.

As always, we wish for you to get a good laugh, learn something new and find something good to eat while you are here. Then take it and share it with the ones you love.

Thanks for reading this blog and trying our recipes.

XOXO,

Debbie & David Signature

Since I’ve been following you forever, don’t know how I missed the Oven-baked BBQ Pork Loin; going to wait to use the grill, I hate searing stovetop indoors lol! Each year we travel to a resort in McGaheysville; I love the area so much and really enjoy seeing your photos – I did also like your bar & restaurant reviews with photos. Congratulations!
