The First Snow Day On The Mountain of 2015

Well, I finally got my wish. I got this winter’s first snow day. By this time last year we had 3 or 4 snow days. Unfortunately, that just equated to a two-hour delay for David.

His Royal Highness spent the day napping (what else is new?). I spent most of the day sorting paperwork and cleaning out the filing cabinet. Not what you would call a typical snow day at home, but I wanted to take advantage of the time off doing something that would not have been done if I had gone to work today. Besides that, the hoarding of old bills, bank records, pay stubs, and other records and paperwork was starting to get out of control. It is all nice and tidy now and David and I have lots of fire starting paper for the fireplace. I think I might have burned up the shredder if I had shred it all.

David took the photo above, upon his arrival back home on the mountain from work. This is why our long commute is so worth it. Which brings me to the real reason I am writing this post. I know it has been an awfully long time since I mentioned finishing “Staycation“, but I haven’t forgotten. I think about it all the time. I have started working on it again. If you haven’t read what I have written, you may want to play catch up. I WILL FINISH IT.

Gorgeous…now the bills are done what will you get up to next time you are snowed in!
P.S. Apart from the odd resort not a single town in Australia gets snow. Keep the pictures coming.

Hummm… There is plenty. I have neglected a lot around the house… I am selfish and would welcome another snow day. We both need to stay home and the sled needs to make an appearance!

We’ve had our usual snow days but are hampered by wind chills of -17F right now. Not fit for man or beast. I’m looking forward to spring.
