Hey everyone, I’m back! Did ya miss me? I missed you.
Staycation 2015 is coming to an end and it is back to the grind tomorrow morning, starting at 5:00 a.m. when either alarm clock or His Royal Highness goes off and brings us back into reality. It is time to go back to the grind and I’m pretty sure HRH is ready for us to leave him in peace in his Royal Mountain Palace. He has been a very good sport this week and has allowed us to sleep in as much as we like (Thank you HRH!).
I decided to take the week off from the blog world. Sometimes a blogger just needs to recharge the ole blogging batteries. Although I didn’t make any posts, I did a little work behind the scenes. I have to say I miss making posts when I am away, but my creative juices start to flow a little better when I take some time off.
Here’s a little slide show of Staycation 2015:
We started our Staycation with our best friends coming up to the mountain for a weekend get away. We visited wineries, enjoyed the deck and did some grilling. The beginning of our week we went down to Staunton, Virginia and ate at a restaurant we used to frequent during our mountain adventures. There we saw one of the famous Statler Brothers. The rest of the week we enjoyed on the Shenandoah River or chilled at home, with absolutely perfect weather.
I realize that our story “Staycation” is incomplete. I am a bit embarrassed to admit that it has not been completed before now. I have been on sabbatical from it way too long and I apologize. I am reminded of our story each time we take Staycation and reflect on our journey here on this beautiful mountain. Perhaps admitting it to you now will push me to get it going again. I am hoping to wrap it up soon. Thank you so much for your patience!
It seems like the more time you have off the more you want. We are blessed to be going back to our jobs that help us enjoy what we love to do most; enjoy these mountains we call home.

Looks like you had a great time! The pics are gorgeous! And I almost bought those flat bottom taco shells today (I think that’s what I see?) – but I got nervous and chickened out that they wouldn’t work for some reason, haha! 🙂

Annie, ya gotta get the stand and stuff! That’s the only ones we buy anymore. They work well but you have to handle your plant gently or they will still fall over… lol!

So glad to have you back. I’ve been away too!
Your holiday pics were gorgeous. What a beautiful part of the world you live in.
Heading your way soon, will be in touch, much love Anna x

Hi Anna! Thanks for the welcome. I’ve been wondering where you’ve been. Keep me posted on your USA adventure! 🙂

Welcome back to reality and yes, I missed you. By the way, Staunton is only 45 minutes north of us. We could have met up “in person” here (Lexington, VA) or there. 🙂

Hey Dor!
Glad to be back. Thanks for the warm welcome. I thought about you when I was on the way down to Staunton, but our timing was in the air. My husband went to Parker Bows to have his bow repaired and we didn’t know how long it would take. We only got the lunch menu at the Depot Grille. Steaks weren’t on that menu, so we will be back down that way before too long. I’d love to come visit Lexington also. Perhaps we could meet up then. Time always becomes a problem and never gets any better does it?
Hope you are doing well! I need to play catch up and come see what you’ve been writing about!
